A movement for practical independence

The truth
is open.

People should be able to understand the tools they use, fix what they own, and make real choices about the systems they depend on. That’s what Aletheia is working toward.

A developing movement, grounded in useful work and open questions.

Why Aletheia exists

Independence should mean something you can use.

A person shouldn’t need a manufacturer’s permission to understand why a device failed. And a community shouldn’t have to accept a broken system simply because no alternative has been built yet. We want to help change both.

OWNERSHIP

Right to repair

If something can be repaired safely, people should have a fair chance to repair it—even after official support ends.

EVIDENCE

Truth in engineering

An idea is a starting point, not proof. Show the test, explain what happened, and be clear about what you still don’t know.

RESPONSIBLE CHANGE

Build the replacement

When something needs changing, work out how to preserve the parts people still rely on. Don't leave them without a replacement.

DISTRIBUTED DISCOVERY

Ideas belong in motion

Share what you’ve learned in a form someone else can check, improve, or use in a completely different field.

A public knowledge commons

A good idea shouldn’t stop with one person.

Some of the best ideas begin when two unrelated subjects suddenly connect. Distributed Discovery is our way of making those connections easier to share—without requiring one person or institution to approve every step.

A contribution can be small: a question, a sketch, an observation, or a failed experiment. What matters is explaining it well enough for the next person to pick it up.

A necessary distinction

Sovereignty is a capability.
Not a loophole.

For Aletheia, sovereign means practical self-determination: the ability to understand, maintain, and make informed choices about the systems on which you depend.

It is not the pseudolegal claim that saying certain words exempts someone from traffic laws, taxes, courts, licensing, or civic responsibility. Independence must coexist with other people's rights and safety.

Sovereignty is something we develop through knowledge, choice, resilience, and responsibility.

What we’re working on

Some projects have field notes or public documentation; others are still designs on paper. We’ll say which is which, because a plan and a working tool are not the same thing.

Documentation available

Kinetic Torch

An Android flashlight project being debugged. The public repository has documentation, but not yet a complete, verified source release.

Founder-reported field work

Exit-device safety

Field observations pointed to a safety issue in certain exit devices and led to a proposed inexpensive fix. The work has not been independently certified.

Open diagnostics

Omni-Link, Eidolon, and related concepts aim to make vehicle information easier for owners and technicians to inspect. Those capabilities are still being developed.
